Emil Nicholas McKean

Emil Nicholas McKean died on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015, at Sentara Meadowview Terrace in Clarksville, Va. He was 92

Son of the late Everett McKean and Lillian (Graber) McKean in Shohola, he was born on March 9, 1923.

He was the owner-operator of McKean Pet Food, the family business to which he dedicated his life.

The family received friends at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home on Aug. 6.

Survivors include his five daughters, Bonnie Daily and husband, Anthony, Sandra O’Heren, Joette VanBuskirk and husband, George, Darlene Schacht, and Lillian Barrett; son, Devin McKean; brother, Fred McKean; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

The second visitation was held Aug. 8 at Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford. A funeral service took place at the funeral home followed by burial in the McKean Family Cemetery.
