Francis M. Terrasi

Francis M. Terrasi of New Windsor died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh. He was 70.

Son of Alfonso and Rita DeRosa Terrasi, he was born on Aug. 18, 1944, in Newburgh.

He was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy's Class of 1963. He went on to become an LPN and received a degree in accounting.

He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at IBM, where he worked as an engineer for 35 years. After retiring, he worked in the deli at Hannaford. He honorably and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was involved in many sports, including hunting with his bow and rifles. He was also passionate about cooking and vacationing with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Graziano Terrasi; three children, Patricia Steinhilber and husband, Kevin, of Florida, N.Y., Anthony P. Terrasi and wife, Liza. of Goshen, and Lori Ann Terrasi. at home; several grandchildren, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Alexandria, Anthony J., Brandon, Trinity, Sandy, Anthony R., and Nathan; a longtime friend, Larry Sweney; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Anthony P. Terrasi.

Visitation was held July 13 at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, Cornwall-On-Hudson. A funeral service was held July 14 at the funeral home, with burial following at Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor.
