Greta Palmer
Greta Palmer of Milford, Pa., died with her grandson, Seth, by her side on Saturday, April 2, 2016, in Newton, N.J. She was 87.
She was born in Elizabeth, N.J., on Oct. 11, 1928.
She moved with her first husband, Stern Samuelson, to Sweden, where she gave birth to her two daughters, Lizanne and Suzanne.
She then moved to Milford in 1966, making Milford her home, where she then started her career as the Guidance Secretary at Delaware Valley High School until her retirement. After divorcing Stern she met Lee Palmer and together they mingled their families and resided at 110 East High St..
Greta was an avid reader who frequented the Milford Library. She also enjoyed the New York Times on a daily basis and did the cross word puzzle as a hobby. She and Lee traveled to England, Mexico, Spain, Florida and where ever the colors suited Lee so he could paint and she could watch.
She is predeceased by both her husbands, Stern and Lee as well as her daughter Lizanne and niece Amanda Jo.
Surviving family members include her brother Bill Albert and his wife, Martha; daughter Suzanne Gallagher; grandson Seth Palmer DeStefano; stepchildren Joel Palmer and Beth Irish; and their extended families, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.
The family gathered for a private burial as cremation took place at the convenience of the family.
