Herbert F. Wreden
Herbert F. Wreden of Milford, Pa., died on Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 at home. He was 77.
Son of the late Herbert Nicholas and Emma (Harlacher) Wreden, he was born on Sept. 1, 1939, in New York, N.Y. He was married to Karen Gerstmann on May 28, 1966, in Franklin, N.J.
He was a retired mechanical engineer for Picatinny Arsenal in Dover, N.J., a mediator for the Sussex County Court, President of the Pike Ares/Races Radio Club, past President of the Franklin Revolver and Rifle Club, lifetime member of the NRA, member of the Sussex County Radio Club, and Matamoras Rod and Gun Club.
He attended Brooklyn Poly Tech Institute (NYU), where he earned an engineering degree. He graduated Seton Hall Law School, where he earned his doctoral degree in law, and started working on a master’s degree for business at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT).
Survivors include his wife; his buddy Sammi Cat; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Wreden, in 1992.
Visitation is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, with the Rev. Luana Cook Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry, Pa.
