James (Jimmy) T. Lane

James (“Jimmy”) T. Lane, a resident of the area since 2004, died following a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 68.
Son of the late Thomas J. and Mary F. Ford Lane, Jimmy was born on Oct. 1, 1950, in Flushing Queens, N.Y. He worked as a sales manager for Harley Davidson Motorcycles for over 30 years.
He married Catherine Forte on Nov. 24, 2002.
Jimmy was a motorcycle icon and over the years has created incredible relationships with customers. He is a greatly loved father, husband, and wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved life and lived it to the fullest with his family and friends. Jimmy Lane never met a stranger.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine, the love of his life, at home; children, James T. Lane Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Olive Branch, Miss., Stephanie Pacinella and her husband, Vincent, of Waterford, N.Y., John Moeller Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Westtown, N.Y., Michael Moeller and his husband, Tobin, of New York, N.Y., Amy Samman and her husband, Rommie, of Westtown, N.Y., and William Moeller and his wife, Nicole, of Greenville, N.Y.; brothers, Thomas K. Lane of Carlsbad, Calif., and Richard Lane of Bernardsville, N.J.; sister, Maureen Lane of East Rutherford, N.J.; his beloved grandchildren, Jimmy, Nicole, Lydia, Alana, Juliann, Matthew, Emmalee, Gabriella, Elias, Zachary, and Layla; cherished great-grandchildren, Layklynn Marie and Averyanna Grace; niece, Meghan; nephew, Patrick; and faithful dog, Rocky.
Visitation was held Dec. 9 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Middletown, N.Y. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 10 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, N.Y. Cremation was private.
