James L. Gainor
James L. Gainor of Port Jervis, N.Y., died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015, at his home. He was 56.
Son of Lawrence E. Gainor and the late Catherine H. Gorman Gainor, he was born on April 30, 1959, in the Bronx.
He worked as a supervisor for the Department of Homeless Services in New York, N.Y.
Survivors include his father, Lawrence E. Gainor of Milford, Pa., two sons, Timothy J. Gainor and Tyler Gainor, both of Long Island; sister, Deborah Pawelski and her husband, Martin, of Milford; brother, Daniel Gainor and his wife, Victoria, of Aston, Pa., nephews, Marty Pawelski and his wife, Katherine, Matthew Pawelski, and Joseph Pawelski; nieces, Kristin Lamarra and her husband, Andrew, and Lauren Gainor.
He was pre-deceased by his mother, Catherine Gorman Gainor; and his sister Eileen Gainor.
He was an avid fisherman and loved being captain of his life and his boat. He always had a pot of soup on and enjoyed good times in his garage with family and friends.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic,Church, 111 E. High St., Milford. the Rev. Gregory Kelly will be the celebrant.
