Janny Sybrandy

Janny Sybrandy, 75, of Matamoras, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16. 2016, in Middletown, N.Y.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1940, in Bruinisse, Holland, the daughter of Cornelius and Jozina Wesdorp van Gilst. Janny was the former co-owner of Sybrandy's Deli in Matamoras for many years. She later retired as a cafeteria worker for the Delaware Valley School District in Westfall Township, Pa.
Janny was a faithful member of the Deerpark Reformed Church in Port Jervis. She was a deacon, elder, choir member and treasurer of the church. She was a dedicated member of the Deerpark Reformed Church Women for many years. Janny married Ignatius "John" Sybrandy who survives at home.
She is also survived by her four sons: Cornelius A. Sybrandy and wife Vanessa Primavera of Marriottsville, Md.; Paul George Sybrandy and wife Diana of Matamoras, Pa.; Johannes P. Sybrandy and wife Amber of Dingmans Township, Pa.; George Rodgers and wife Kathy of Oak Ridge, N.J.; two daughters, Anna M. Rolando and husband Edward of Hewitt, N.J., Patricia C. Fernot and companion Kevin, of Vernon, N.J.; and 20 grandchildren.
