Joan A. Kately

Joan A. Kately of Milford, Pa., died on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Milford Senior Care. She was 85.
Daughter of John and Angela Heffernan Koleszar, she was born in Bayonne, N.J., on Aug. 18, 1931.
She retired from the Financial Department at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, N.J. She married Francis Lloyd Kately, who pre-deceased her.
Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Shatt, and her husband, Michael, of Milford; grandchildren, Sara Shatt, Jeffrey Shatt, and his wife, Chelsea; and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her son Kenneth Kately and brothers John and Frank Koleszar.
Prayers will be offered 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Port Jervis, with the Rev. Matthew Newcomb as celebrant. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery, Sparta, N.J
