Johan Edmund Sletner

Johan Edmund Sletner of Shohola, Pa., died at home on Saturday, March 18, 2017. He was 91.
Son of the late Earl and Ida Sletner, he was born on April 28, 1925, in Brooklyn.
He was married to Barbara Richter, who predeceased him on Dec. 4, 2009.
He was a retired field tech for International Business Machines Corporation (IBM). He was a member of Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post 139, Milford, Pa., and Sons of Norway, Lackawaxen, Pa.; and a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his son, Eric Sletner, and his companion, Linda Peter of Shohola; daughter Sheri Kowalski and her husband, Roger, of Milford; grandchildren, Kerri Kowalski, Nickolas Sletner, and Melissa Sletner; great-grandchildren, Caroline and Benjamin Sletner; and sister, Edna Woods of Florida.
He was predeceased by his daughter Laura Sletner on Jan. 23, 2009.
Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on March 22. Final interment was to be at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa., at the convenience to the family.
