John Arthur Boe Jr.

John Arthur Boe Jr. of Huguenot, N.Y., passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 82.
Son of the late John Arthur and Dorothy Boe, he was born Jan. 8, 1936, in Brooklyn.
John proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.
He was a retired firefighter for the City of New York on Engine 93, 13th Battalion.
A family statement read: "John enjoyed traveling, deep sea fishing, cooking and football. He loved spending the holidays with his family."
Surviving are his beloved wife, Irene Boe, whom he married on May 5, 1972; two loving children, Susan Ramos of Port Jervis, N.Y., and Bill Colley and his wife, Sharon, of Cuddebackville, N.Y.; two brothers, Donald Boe of New Jersey and David Boe and his wife, Jane, of Texas; four grandchildren, Kailyn Tibby of Scranton, Pa., Kenneth Jones of Port Jervis, N.Y., William Colley of Westtown, N.Y., and Sean Colley of Dingman's Ferry, Pa.; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, and Gianna.
At Captain John's request, there will be no funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, 1730 M Street NW, Suite 705, Washington, DC 20036.
Funeral arrangements are by the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Port Jervis.
