John Losinno
John A. Losinno, 69, of Goshen, formerly of Hawley, Pa., passed away July 7, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife, children, and loving family at the time of his death.
John was born August 25, 1946, in Newburgh. He was the son of the late Nicola Losinno and Edna Hall, and was predeceased by his brother Nick Losinno.
John was co-founder of Castle Antiques and Imports with his brother, Ralph Losinno, in Hawley.
He enjoyed playing cards, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandchildren. John was a huge Yankee fan who attended many games and celebrated his 65th birthday at Yankee Stadium.
John is survived by his sweetheart of 50 years, Rita Losinno; his son Vincent and his wife, Lanna Keller, of Wappingers Falls; his son Darrin Keller and his partner, Rita Carrk, of Watervliet; and his daughter, Chrystine, and her husband, James Shoop, of Goshen. He was the proud "Papo" of seven grandchildren, Remington, Jake and Wayne Keller, Tory Carrk, Anthony Pagani, and Giavanna and Jianni Shoop.
He also leaves behind his sisters, Joy L. Dunn of Concord, N.H., and Elizabeth Camporeale of The Villages, Fla.; his brother Ralph and sister-in-law, Kathy Losinno, of Hawley, Pa.; and his sister-in-law Jeannette Losinno of New Windsor.; as well as four nephews and five nieces.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 10, at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 11, at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 301 Ann St., Newburgh. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
