John O. Little Jr.

John O. Little Jr. of Sparrowbush, N.Y., died on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, holding his Louie's hand, surrounded by his children at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, N.Y. He was 60.
Son of John O. Little Sr. and Shirley Cosh Little, he was born on Sept. 1, 1956, in Sussex, N.J.
He owned and operated John Little Construction in Sparrowbush, N.Y., as well as being a former lion tamer. He was a faithful member and chairman of the trustees of the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church. He was also an associate member of Terrace First United Methodist Church of Long Beach Township, N.J.
He married Kathy Husson Little on Nov. 3, 1979, who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Dr. Sara Little and her husband, Dr. Brandon O’Connor, of Milford, Pa.; three sons, Johnny Little and his wife, Roselle, of Port Jervis, N.Y., and Justin and Jordan Little, both at home; parents, John and Shirley Little of Port Jervis; grandson, Colin O’Connor; sister, Renee Little of Port Jervis; two brothers, Tom Little and his wife, Charlene, of S.C., Herb Little of Tennessee; mother-in-law, Jane Husson; three brothers-in-law, George Husson and his husband, Michael Bamrick, Michael Husson and his wife, Mary, all of Sparrowbush; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was a friend of small dogs and his survived by his dog Petey. He is joining his beloved pet dogs Buddy and Tucker in heaven.
Visitation was held Sept. 15 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, Port Jervis. Funeral services were held Sept. 16 at the Sparrowbush United Methodist Church, Sparrowbush, with the Rev. Amy Garrett officiating. Cremation followed at HG Smith crematory, Stroudsburg, Pa.
