“A hug, a kiss, and a TICKLE!” This was the nightly ritual that Bob Reno, a loving father, used to say as he tucked his children into bed, and ingrained the memory into their minds of how much he cared for them. This memory lives on as his family mourns the loss of this great man. Bob passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2022. He was 71 years old.

Born on April 15, 1950, and raised in New York City, Bob started his law career as a public defender in NYC and transitioned to representing clients in the Mid Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center. In the late 90’s he moved to Milford, Pa., and with his loving wife Kim by his side, they opened their own law practice in the early 2000’s, running it together for over 20 years. He met every challenge in his career with the heart of a warrior and fought the good fight while championing and uplifting all of those around him to be more socially active and vocal.

As a lawyer, he stood for many who couldn’t stand for themselves. A fiery presence in court, he fought with every attorney in town and loved every minute of it, and even still, the entire legal community has shown the family nothing but love and respect for this man and the integrity he carried with him throughout his life.

While in Milford, Bob and Kim raised 5 kids together as a blended family. He is survived by his children, Annie Reno and her husband Mike Young, Luke Reno, Daniel Reno, Laura Reno, Abby Reno and her girlfriend Brittany McIvor, and his sister Judy Reno. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Edward Reno, and one daughter, Grace Reno.

A memorial service will be held at the Pike County Courthouse on April 22 at 3:30 p.m. and Saint Patrick’s Church on April 23 at 11:00 a.m.
