Spencer R. Andersen
Spencer R. Andersen, a longtime resident of Rowland, Pa., died at home on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017. He was 96.
He was born in Brooklyn. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. During his career as an iron worker, he worked on the original World Trade Center Towers.
He was predeceased by his longtime companion, Jenny (McKean) McCue; two brothers, Lester Andersen and Alfred Andersen; sister, Dorothy (Andersen) Jacobsen; niece, Eleanor (Andersen) Clouse; and nephew, Ralph Andersen.
A family statement says: "He will be missed by all of the Andersen, McKean and McCue families and so many others that he came to know during his life."
Graveside services will be held at the German Hill Cemetery, Shohola, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Beck officiating.
