Teresa 'Tessie' Sienko
Teresa "Tessie" Sienko of Matamoras, a long time area resident, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. She was 95.
Daughter of the late William (Vasil) Stone and the late Anna Patusca Stone, she was born May 3, 1920, in Franklin/Ogdensburg, N.J.
She worked for Spark-O-Matic in Milford, and earlier in life she worked for the Morley's Shirt Factory in Franklin, N.J., and Cardinal Coat in Sussex and was the Co-Owner of the Sussex Inn, Sussex, N.J.
She was a past Cub Scout Den Mother in the State of Washington. She was a past member of the Rosary Society at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church in Sussex, N.J., and more recently the Jehovah's Witnesses Port Jervis Congregation.
Survivors include one son, James Sienko and his wife, Cindy of Greeley, Pa.; three daughters, Jean Hunt of Middletown, N.Y., Margery Brown and her husband, Elmer, of Sebring, Fla., and Kathleen Keba of Woodridge, N.Y.; two sisters, Anna Heath of Lufkin, Texas, and Helen Britton of Port Jervis, N.Y.; ten grandchildren, Shannon Clanton, James and Kevin Sienko, Kelly Kordylas, Kim Stacklum, Keith and Eric Brown, Alicia Riggs, Monica Reid and Michael Anthony, Keba Jr.; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; dear friend, Stella Glas of Town of Deerpark, N.Y.; and her friends at the Delaware Run Apartments in Matamoras.
She is predeceased by two brothers, John and Stephen Stone; two brothers-in-law, Curtis Heath and Howard Britton; and sister-in-law, Agnes Stone.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be announced by the family at a later date.
