Thomas C. McKean

Thomas C. McKean of Shohola died at home on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015. He was 80.

Son of the late Cleveland and Jane (Pedley) McKean, he was born in Shohola on May 20, 1935.

He was a member of St. Luke’s Church in Greeley and a past-chief of the Greeley Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He served his country in the National Guard.

He married the late Joan Miesner McKean on May 19, 1956, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Greeley.

Survivors include his children, Janet Phillipps and her husband, Bill, and Tom J. McKean of Shohola; two sisters, Jennie McCue and Augusta Schultz; four grandchildren, William, Nicole, Garrett, and Tristan.

Visitation at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford, was scheduled for Monday, Oct. 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. A service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
