William J. Forbes

William J. Forbes, formerly of Titusville, Pa., currently living in Weirton, W.V., died on Nov. 24, 2016, at Weirton Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 64.
Son of the late Harry James and Dorothy Mae (Karns) Forbes, he was born in Titusville on June 24, 1952.
On Oct. 8, 1983, he married Mary Ann (Lenney), the love of his life and best friend; she survives. On Dec. 19, 1984, they celebrated the birth of their only daughter Caroline Forbes, whom he loved fiercely. She survives and resides with Scott Campbell, the man he reluctantly and eventually embraced, calling his son-in-law.
Also surviving are three brothers and their families, Harry and Julie Forbes with children Marjorie and Harrison Forbes, Rick Forbes and Tom Forbes. He also leaves behind a beloved niece and nephew with their families: Kimberly (Davenport) Comstock and Brian Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leonard Davenport, Robert and David Forbes.
He owned and operated Gene’s Economy Auto Service in Titusville for many years. He was a past volunteer of Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department and the YWCA of Titusville, a former member of the Oil City Moose Club and the Titusville Ellks. He was an avid Steelers football fan and enjoyed attending and watching Nascar racing. He had a deep love and devotion for his family.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life to be held on June 24, 2017, in Titusville. Specific details will be released at a later time.
