Shelter anniversary celebration

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. A Community Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Humane Society of Port Jervis will be held at the shelter on Sunday, Sept. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend the festivities at 202 Route 209, Port Jervis, N.Y. There will be free music by PJ’s Band, refreshments and plenty of memories to honor the shelter’s 50 years of service to the community. The shelter and the barns will be open for visits.
