DINGMANS FERRY — On Friday, April 10 the Pike County 4-H Rock Ridge Ranchers club, had their first annual cleanup day. The whole barn underwent spring cleaning as the club members learned how to properly care for and clean a barn and the tack. Laughs were shared and the club enjoyed spending the day with friends while learning how to respect and care for the equine companion. Leader, Debra Passero meets with her 4-H club members at her Ranch in Dingmans Ferry. Club meetings are scheduled on selected Fridays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. If you possess the desire to help the youth of today become responsible adults tomorrow, please consider becoming a 4-H volunteer. Caring adults are sought to share their interests with children age 5 to 18. 4-H leaders do not have to be experts on a subject. Resources provided by Penn State and the 4-H program can be used to gain a working knowledge in any of the 150 4-H projects. For more information about becoming a 4-H Club Leader, call 570 -296-3400. — By Brittany Bajek, 4-H Rock Ridge Ranchers Club Member
