Blooming grove n The Pike County Agricultural Land Preservation Board is hosting a series of Question and Answer sessions about the Agricultural Land Preservation Program. If you’d like to know more about Agricultural Security Areas or the program itself, come and ask your questions at either of the public sessions. The next session is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 8, at 7 p.m. All meetings will be held at the Conservation and Planning office on Route 402 (the old Blooming Grove schoolhouse). Mark your calendar and plan to attend this informative session. They will explain what an Agricultural Security Area is and how you can benefit from enrolling your property in an Agricultural Security Area (ASA). Landowners enrolled in an ASA receive many benefits, and they are excited to make you aware of them. County and State funding are available for this program, but interested landowners should act now. Attendance is encouraged at this earlier session to ensure that more landowners satisfy eligibility now for next year’s funds. Come find out how you can get in on the action. No cost, no restrictions, no strings attached. If you are unable to attend this session, there will be offering another session on: Thursday, Sept. 27, also at 7 p.m. If you have any questions regarding the Pike County Agricultural Land Preservation Program, or enrolling your property in an Agricultural Security Area, please contact: Jessica Yoder, Preservation Planner, at the Pike County Office of Community Planning. 570-226-6293. jyoder@pikepa.org
