Artistic expression with new 4-H Club
New club forming on Sept. 27 MILFORD Pike County Cooperative Extension is forming a new 4-H Art club intended as an exploratory curriculum into the world of art media. Club Leader, Mrs. Malgorzata Liszka will hold the club’s first informational meeting on Monday, Sept. 27, at the Commissioners’ Meeting Room - Pike County Administration Building, 506 Broad Street, in Milford. The meeting time is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. All boys and girls, ages 8 to 19 are eligible to join. The educational materials/membership fee is $11. Club members will meet on selected Fridays each month, the time and location will be decided at this informational meeting. Mrs. Liszka, holds a B.S. degree in architecture from Poland, and considers arts & crafts her hobbies. . All the activities focus on teaching the elements and principles of design and encourage developing skills for a lifetime. The units in focus on seven art topics: Cutting and Pasting, Drawing, Painting, Sculpting; Printing; Fiber and 3-D Construction.
