HAWLEY — State Senator Lisa Baker (R-20) recently opened a new office at the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitor’s Center in Hawley to meet the state government needs of residents of Monroe, Pike and Wayne counties. “Almost half of the people I represent live in the eastern region of the district,” Baker said. “We will now be able to serve them with a full time office in their community.” Some of the services the office provides include assistance with vehicle registration, driver’s license, and handicapped placard applications and other PennDOT issues; help completing PACE and Property Tax Rent Rebate applications; expediting birth certificates, criminal record checks and child abuse history clearances; notary services; and providing legislative information and state government publications such as bills, statutes and regulations. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
