Bank hosts donation days for humane society
SHOHOLA Friday, Feb. 13, was a Pike County Humane Society spring fund drive “Open House” day at several Wayne Bank branches. Wayne Bank, a consistent long-time supporter of the society, launched a month-long donations drive by setting up collection boxes for pet food and pet and shelter supplies at its Milford, Lords Valley and Shohola branch offices. The banks’ open house events also included refreshments and the presence of two puppies and a kitten representing the dogs and cats awaiting adoption at the shelter. Society director Barry Heim and board member Phyllis Simpson chatted with bank visitors and staff, explaining the shelter’s work and thanking bank employees and patrons for their support. How to help Donation collection boxes will remain at Wayne Bank’s Milford, Lords Valley and Shohola branch offices through March 14.
