Best commercial holiday lights

As we found when judging residences, many area merchants and business owners take a great deal of pride in their holiday decorations. The choosing was a difficult business, but the lighting at Laurel Villa at Second and East Ann takes our prize this year. Covered with garlands and white lighting, the restaurant’s white picket fence frames the building’s lighting, which contrasts nicely with a multicolored Christmas tree at the corner, while another tree decorated in landscape lighting balances the view from the other side.
