Bocskocsky earns national health care distinction

MILFORD — Milford resident and Saint Clare’s Health System executive, Stephen Bocskocsky, has earned the rank of Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for health care leaders. Bocskocsky is vice-president at Saint Clare’s and chief administrative officer of the system’s Sussex acute care hospital and the Visiting Nurse Association of Saint Clare’s and the administrator of the Dwelling Place, Dover. Fellow status represents achievement of the college’s highest standards of professional development. Those earning this distinction fulfill multiple requirements including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional and community involvement. Bocskocsky has been a member of the college since 1976. A graduate of George Washington University and the University of Tennessee, his health care experience spans a variety of administrative roles in medical facilities throughout the eastern United States. Prior to joining Saint Clare’s in 1985, he served in administrative capacities at Wallkill Valley Hospital and Health Center, Sussex; Mercy Community Hospital, Port Jervis; Greater Lawrence Mental Health Canter, Lawrence, Mass.; the May Institute for Autistic Children, Chatham, Mass.; and the Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond. He has been active in numerous civic and social groups including Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Paterson; the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce; Sussex Mental Health Board; the United Way; Sussex County Cancer Society; Easter Seals n Highland Workshop; Ginny’s House n Child Advocacy Center; and the Office on Aging Board of Sussex County. Bocskocsky is also a certified collegiate and high school sports official.
