MILFORD - Borough officials Monday took care of the last piece of a new inter-municipal trash deal with Matamoras. Meeting in a brief special session on Nov. 12, the borough council approved a $27,349 three-month interim garbage contract with contractor Charles Steuhl and Sons. That contract, running through March of 2007, will carry the borough until Matamoras’ trash contract expires. Following the purchase of a truck, the new joint service is expected to begin in April of next year. The council also approved a $947,172 budget for 2007, which is available for review at the borough office. The new budget calls for no increase in taxes.
