Builders donate to resource library
Milford The Pike County Builders Association recently donated printed copies of a building code book to the Pike County Economic Development Authority for use by entrepreneurs and property owners in the community. The EDA plans to maintain these reference materials in the entrepreneurial resource center in its office. The resource center is open to the public during the EDA’s normal office hours, Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. “These reference materials will help building owners to understand the regulations they need to abide by when changing tenants or making renovations to their buildings. We are very pleased to make them available to the business community right in the EDA office,” said David Farrington, Chairman of the EDA. In addition to donating this reference material to the EDA, the Pike County Builders Association has been working with the EDA, the Pike County Chamber of Commerce as well as Milford Borough to host informational forums on topics such as commercial buildings codes and navigating the architectural review process. The next upcoming program will be held on Sept. 30 and will cover zoning regulations. “We thank the Pike County Builders Association for working with us to provide access to these reference materials to interested individuals in our community,” said Farrington.
