BUSHKILL The bridge over Bushkill Creek on US Route 209 in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area has been closed to all vehicles as of July 9. The bridge will reopen no later than July 27. The closure is necessary to complete repairs to the bridge, according to the National Park Service. During the closure, vehicles of 15 tons (30,000 pounds) Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or less will be able to use US Route 209 through the recreation area between Bushkill and Milford. Such vehicles will follow a 4.3 mile detour route to bypass the closed bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto Winona Falls Road, East/West Sugar Mountain Road, and Bushkill Falls Road. Drivers of heavier vehicles must find alternate routes.
