Bushkill - With the cold of winter upon Pike County, the Wachovia Bank branches of Dingman Hills, Lake Region, Lords Valley, Matamoras and Milford recently held their Fourth Annual Winter Coat Drive. “Wachovia is committed to supporting our Pike County neighbors in need. This year we were fortunate enough to be able to provide clothing to Bushkill Outreach” stated Valerie Seitz, Milford Office Financial Center manager. “We are pleased to partner once again with United Way of Pike County to distribute the winter coats and clothing that Wachovia employees and Pike County citizens collected.” Mike Peifer, United Way of Pike County president, stated, “This year, the United Way of PC was able to collect gently used business suits and we are proud to go above and beyond to support our Pike County residents.” Kate Newman, of Bushkill Outreach Program, said, “This donation comes as a surprise. We were expecting coats but the clothing is a wonderful surprise. We are grateful to the United Way of Pike County, Wachovia Bank, and Pike County residents for their donations and support.” You can make your donation or learn more about the many Pike United Way initiatives; call 570-296-9980 or visit www.unitedwaypike.org.
