Cable station to cover Groundhog Day

All eyes will be on Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney as PCN provides live coverage of Groundhog Day activities on Feb. 2. Live coverage begins at 6 a.m., (Channel 67 on local Blue Ridge systems) with festivities including proclamations by local dignitaries, music and entertainment, and comments from the early morning crowd. PCN’s cameras will be on hand as the world-famous prognosticator, Punxsutawney Phil, emerges from his den to make his winter weather prediction. Encore presentations of the celebration have been scheduled to air throughout the day on Monday. The first re-airing will start at 11:30 a.m. with others slated for 8 and 11 p.m.
