MILFORD — The Center for Developmental Disabilities, providing early education, early intervention, behavioral and therapeutic services for children ages 3 years to kindergarten, is appealing for community support. CDD is committed to providing exceptional educational services to all children with an expertise in servicing children with developmental delays and disabilities. The CDD is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and is a Pennsylvania, STARS 4 Early Care and Education site. The CDD has provided services to over 160 children and families this past fiscal year ending June 30. On Aug. 31, the CDD transitioned 38 children to the Delaware Valley School District. The number of children they serve continues to grow and expand. The need for additional funding for their early intervention, early education program, behavioral and therapeutic services is critical to the children and families that they currently serve on a daily basis. Funds raised from the annual appeal campaign will be utilized for the center’s educational programs and therapeutic services. Currently, the CDD provides educational programs for 90 children at the center and home-based services to 100 families on a yearly basis. Gifts to the Center for Developmental Disabilities of Pike County are tax-deductible. For further information regarding the annual appeal campaign, visit http://cddkids.org or contact Diane J. Chudoba, vice president of development at 570-296-3992 ext. 64.
