Members of the Board of the Grey Towers Heritage Association are pictured welcoming guests at the Annual Holiday Reception and Open House at Grey Towers earlier this month. From the left are: association president, Barbara J. Buchanan, former board member, Peter Osborne, Jennifer Carney and Congressman Christopher Carney, Ray Weeks, and Susan Beecher. The reception was attended by about 200 people: friends, partners, volunteers, and supporters of the Grey Towers Heritage Association. Among the other honored guests were state Sentator Lisa Baker and Milford Borough Council President Matt Osterberg. The mansion was decorated in full regalia for the holiday season and there were a variety of interesting canapes presented throughout the rooms on the second and third floor. The mission of the Grey Towers Heritage Association is to continue the legacy of giving and the spirit of community outreach established by former Governor Gifford Pinchot and his family. Congressman Carney expressed the sentiments of many when he mentioned that Grey Towers is a “revered national treasure — well known in Washington and as far as California.” Heritage Association events are listed on their website at www.greytowers.org. or call 570-296-9630.
