Last Thursday, the Lords Valley Rotary Club dedicated a Pocket Park at the Dingman Branch of the Pike County Library on state Route 739. Club president, Roy Hart, pictured above, unveiled the park’s “brick entrance stand” on Aug. 24, before a small crowd of guests. The stand bears a plaque honoring Robert M. Sandelman, to whom the park was dedicated. Those who financially supported the project receive engraved plaques fastened to benches, tables or chairs. Barbara Buchanan, president of the Pike County Library, presented a $1,000 check in memory of her late husband Theodore, for a bench plaque. For more on the club, call 570-775-2830.
