Cole Chamberlin awarded Eagle Scout

MILFORD An Eagle Scout Court of Honor took place on March 13, for Delaware Valley High School Junior Cole Chamberlin. This event was held at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingman’s Ferry, which also served as the site of Chamberlin’s Eagle Scout project. Chamberlin remodeled an old cross landscape at the church. He refurbished one cross and built two additional crosses to create a three cross landscape. The crosses were 12 feet high, for the two flanking crosses and 16 feet for the middle cross, and all three were anchored in cement. The approximate dimension of the whole area where the crosses were placed was 30 feet by 8 feet. The landscape was made in the shape of an oval with top soil laid out, then mulch was spread over it. Flowers and shrubs were then planted in and around the area. Chamberlin started Boys Scouts in July of 2004 with Shohola Troop 76, lead by Scoutmaster Joe Malanio. He earned 39 Merit Badges during his path to Eagle Scout. Chamberlin resides in Milford with his parents Eric and Sharon Chamberlin and his sister Anna.
