College offers art, technology, and CPR classes at Shohola site

SHohola - Study the comedy of Neil Simon, find out how to e-mail pictures of your grandchildren or learn cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. It’s all available at Northampton Community College’s site at the Shohola Business Center, 837 Route 6, Unit 6, Shohola. Upcoming fall classes include: • “When Good Computers Go Bad - One Day Workshop” - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7. If the computer caught a virus, this is a good pace to find out how to make it all better. The fee is $19. • “Cameras” - 9 a.m. to noon, Saturdays, Sept. 9 to 30. Learn how to take great pictures with a digital camera. The class also will teach downloading the pictures to a computer, e-mailing them and other techniques. The fee is $59. • “Basic Excel” - 1 to 3 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 9 to 30. The fee is $39 plus $1 for materials. • “Graphic Design I” - 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 9 to 30. Students will learn how to design logos, emblems, letterhead and more. The fee is $59. • “The Comedy of Neil Simon” - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 12 to Oct. 3. The fee is $49. • “Silk Painting” - 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Sept. 14 to 28. The fee is $39 plus $25 for materials. • “Beginning Conversational Spanish” - 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 5 to Nov. 9. This class will cover everyday Spanish with an asking/answering format. Perfect for the tourist or business traveler. The fee is $79. Classes through the Center for Healthcare Education • “ECELS - PA AAP First Aid Course for Child Care Providers” - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. The fee is $20. • “Heartsaver CPR - Pediatric (Infants and Children)” - 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. The fee is $20.
