White Plains, N.Y. — Another Consolidated Edison subsidiary is offering residential power service to Pike County Light and Power Co. customers. ConEdison Solutions has expanded its presence in the Northeast by announcing it will now serve residential customers in Pike County. Rate prices of the county’s Con Edison owned utility, Pike County Light and Power, have recently been undersold by Direct Energy, service offered by a rate “aggregate” decision of the state Public Utilities Commission. According to the company’s statement, ConEdison Solutions will offer competitively priced energy supply to residential customers of Pike County Light and Power. The offer will represent a savings over the utility and Direct Energy’s aggregation through the end of December, 2007 and provide price stability through 2008. ConEdison Solutions currently serves over 200,000 residential customers from Massachusetts to New York and has served business customers in Pike County since 2006. A spokesperson for ConEdison Solutions said savings over Direct Energy rates would amount to 12 percent through the end of 2007. Established in 1997, ConEdison Solutions serves electric commodity customers in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maryland, Delaware, Illinois, Texas, and the District of Columbia. Based in White Plains, New York, the company also provides an array of cost-effective energy services to businesses. ConEdison Solutions offers retail electricity to Pike County Light and Power residential customers with a fixed-price option.
