Correction: Contreras not appointed by Osterberg or Schmalzle

The response to the Courier’s questions submitted by Delaware Valley school board candidate Matthew Contreras and published in last week’s edition contained an error: Contreras was not appointed a Judge of Election by Pike County Commissioners Matt Osterberg and Ron Schmalzle, as he said in his statement. According to Nadine Manzoni, director of the Pike County Board of Elections, Contreras petitioned the Court of Common Pleas with the prothonotary for the position, and it is the Court of Common Pleas who appointed him, after finding that he met the qualifications.
