DINGMAN - “The Gypsy Moth spray program in Dingman Township was spotty at best,” said Tom Mincer Board of Supervisors chairman Wednesday. Mincer suggested that Dingman try and organize a cooperative effort with other municipalities to provide a more complete and effective spray program for next year. There will be a meeting regarding the Gypsy Moth spray program on July 18 at 7 p.m. at the Ding Del Middle School. On other matters the board discussed whether language requiring 10 percent of open area be set aside by new subdivisions was written clearly enough to prevent inclusion of “swamp land” for this purpose. No action was taken and the matter was tabled. Mincer wrote Penn DOT regarding its lack of assistance at a traffic accident on State Route 2001. Township employees and emergency service personnel took care of the emergency with no support from the state, he said.
