Dorothy Tighe, 31, of Barryville, was charged with Bad Checks for an incident occurring at Fashion Lens Lab Investigations This department is investigating the theft of gasoline from U-Hauls located at Pike County Auto Rentals, which have occurred over the past several weeks. This department is investigating the smashing of a truck window, which occurred during the overnight hours of Sept. 14, on Pennsylvania Avenue. The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department is investigating the breaking of windows located at businesses along Pennsylvania Avenue. This department is investigating the theft of a Suzuki motorcycle seat and jacket stolen from a residence on Avenue I Matamoras Borough, which occurred on Sept. 17, 2008. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sergeant Pflanz at 570-491-4040. The Eastern Pike regional Police Department is investigating an attempted retail theft that occurred on September 25, 2008 at K-Mart where two males entered the store and tried to leave with three DVD players. A vehicle was seen leaving the scene, described as a green Ford Escort bearing partial New York registration of EGZ. Anyone with information is asked to contact Chief Stewart at 570-491-4040. This Department is investigating the break-in and theft of a bicycle from a residences garage located on Avenue O in Matamoras. The theft occurred between Sept. 1, and Sept. 25. Stolen was a royal blue single speed bike with fenders. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Burns at 570-491-4040. The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department is investigating several criminal mischiefs that occurred in the Borough of Matamoras on Oct. 5. Anyone with information is asked to contact this department at 570-491-4040. Residents are reminded to keep vigilant by locking their doors on their homes and vehicles. There is a curfew in effect for the month of October until November 2nd for anyone under 18 years of age. Matamoras Borough Ordinance states in part that no persons under 18 years of age may be out on the streets after 8 p.m. All charges are pending court action. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
