Electronic spring cleaning

    MILFORD — An electronics-recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at the PennStar Bank (Milford Township) on US Route 6 & 209 in Milford from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Pike County Builders Association (PCBA) collaborated with Advanced Recovery, Inc. and sponsor Schields Container Service to provide a one-day program. The event is open to all at $10 per private carload; the business fee is $25. Businesses must pre-register by calling 570-296-5589 or 845-858-8809 or e-mail rtravers@advancedrecovery.com Many common household items will be accepted, including monitors, all small appliances, printers, scanners, keyboards, VCR cables, terminals, radios, fax machines, CRT’s modems, telephones, vacuum cleaners, copiers, typewriters, car batteries and stereo equipment. The Pike County Humane Society will also be at the recycle event - come by and give a donation or give some little dog or cat a new home.
