Dingmans ferry — Mark your calendars for the sixth annual Pike County Family Community Expo, sponsored by the United Way of Pike County. It will be on Sunday, June 1, rain or shine from 1-4:30 p.m. in the Speers Lodge at YMCA Camp Speers-Eljabar, located on Nichecronk Road off state Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry. Admission to the Expo will be free, and the Expo Committee is working hard to make sure it is a fun event for all. Exhibitors will include early childhood care providers, social service agencies, and other medical, non-profit and community organizations. The agencies will provide family friendly, hands-on activities and present information about the services they offer. In addition, there will be free pony rides provided by Camp Speers-Eljabar and free entertainment from local children’s groups. Refreshments will be offered for a small fee by Camp Speers-Eljabar. Sue Robbins, UWPC board secretary and expo chair said, “This is a great way for people to get to know the service agencies in Pike County, and we hope you will join us for a day of family fun. All ages are welcome!” The UWPC would especially like to thank the YMCA Camp Speers-Eljabar for continuing to host this event.
