Dingman — The Dingman Delaware Middle School PTA will be sponsoring a flu clinic on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the campus at 1365 state Route 739, in Dingmans Ferry. This clinic was brought about by the National PTA working in conjuction with the Flu Buster Organization which in turn made it possible for all local PTA’s to sponsor one. Flu Clinic uses a toll free phone number that people can use to contact the Flu Busters directly for any questions 866-782-3014. Secondly, there is an online registration system for setting up the appointment. The website is: www.pta.org/flubusterclinics, and is very easy to navigate through. Click onto “Schedule a Flu Shot Appointment”, enter the date of the clinic which is Oct. 25, and the school’s zip code 18328. Another screen will pop up with the school name and location. Click onto “Sign up for a Shot”, the next screen that pops up will have you select “Available Time Slots”, plug in a time and then click onto the final step “Consent Form”. The consent form requests certain medical and payment information. This will be kept private by the Flu Busters. The clinic will be run by professional medical personnel. It is open and available to any community member, child, adult, senior citizen in our district which includes of course Matamoras, Milford, Dingmans Ferry, Lords Valley and anyone else who may hear of it and register for the flu shot. Participants must register online for the Flu Shot and that will guarentee their flu shot. It will also alert the Flu Buster organization as to the number of staff they will need to send to our school to make this a successful event as well as the amount of medication needed. There will be extra Flu medication on hand for walk ins, but that will be on a first come first serve basis.
