Free skin cancer prevention seminar
MILFORD Skin cancer is the most common cancer in this country and the incidence of skin cancer continues to rise on 2009. MilfordMD Skin and Laser Center Advanced Dermatology will be hosting a free skin cancer prevention seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 11:30 a.m. The seminar will address the dangers of sun exposure, ways to protect yourself against the suns’ harmful rays, treatments for cancerous and pre-cancerous skin lesions and the newest methods to eliminate the skin damage caused by the environment. Dr. Richard Buckley of MilfordMD says “With the fall and winter months fast approaching, most people feel that they don’t need to avoid the sun as much as they do in the summer. We can’t stress enough the importance of being protected from the suns’ harmful rays year round. At MilfordMD, we treat skin cancers every day and see the damage that the sun can do to the skin when it is left unprotected. We want to educate the public on the ways to protect themselves from these harmful rays while enjoying all outdoor activities. There are many treatments available to eliminate the damage that has already been done by exposure to the sun. There are ways to reduce wrinkles, erase brown and red spots and greatly improve the overall appearance of skin damaged by exposure to the environment.” Please be sure to hold this date aside and register for this seminar so you can find out how to keep your skin healthy and enjoy all the outdoor fun the fall and winter have to offer. You can register online at MilfordMD Skin and Laser Center’s website: www.milfordmd.com or call 570-296-4000.
