Friends in need of homes

PORT JERVIS Boo is a short-haired 9-month-old altered male with a black mask. His eyes are yellow and he has black on his nose. His coloring is black and white with his lower body all white and black on his back and tail. Boo is using the litterbox at the shelter and is a sweet natured fellow. Elvira is a beautiful female black Labrador retriever. She came to the shelter as a stray and is about 1-year-old. Elvira has white on her chest and paws. She knows “sit,” “down” and maybe more. Elvira is energetic but good natured. She will be spayed before going to a new home and is clean in her kennel but we can’t be positive she is housebroken. Ziggy is a tri-colored spayed female beagle / bassett hound mix. She is 3-years-old and housebroken. There is illness in her famiy so she needs a new home. Ziggy likes chew toys and is okay with cats. She lived with children age 10 and 15. Ziggy likes to visit the neighbors if given a chance. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please call or visit the Humane Society of Deerpark/Port Jervis at 202 Rt. 209 North, Tuesday through Sunday. The shelter is closed Mondays.
