MILFORD — Put a cute pug face on a neat little terrier body and you have Spencer, a 17-pound 11 month-old pup who’d love to have a people family to play with and love. Enjoying a mixture of cuddles and playful activity, he’ll benefit from gentle, firm and consistent positive training to be an affectionate, well-mannered and adorable pet, in a family respectful of his small size. As he doesn’t get along with all dogs, if you have a pooch, you’ll want to bring your dog to meet Spencer to see if they’ll get along. A specked white Spitz/Blue Heeler mix, three-year-old Pearl was turned into the shelter by an owner who found her to be too much responsibility and more than they could afford. Housebroken, affectionate, good with children and responsive to basic commands she is a friendly sweet girl who is a bit skiddish toward some men and some other dogs. Although she’s learning to be less apprehensive as time goes by, she needs a gentle kind home who will work with her to provide the security and reassurance she needs. Talk to a shelter staff member about her sensitive nature to see if she is the right pooch for you. A 28 pound Shepherd mix, Kenan is a housebroken one-year-old energetic guy who is good with other dogs, older children and adults who come his way. He does not get along with cats. Give this loveable guy some patient and calm loving attention and additional positive training, and you’ll have a fantastic family playmate and an affectionate companion happy to please. What’s not to love in this sweet little pooch - Bliss is an adorable Lhasa Apso/Cairn Terrier mix who, up until now, has only known life with a breeder. At three, she now needs to have her own people family, to play with and love. If a sweet little lap dog is your idea of a perfect companion and friend, come and give Bliss a cuddle.
