PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Sunshine is a female tan colored labrador/pit bull terrier mix about 4-years-old. She came to the shelter as a stray with a pink collar on. She is probably housebroken as Sunshine is very clean in her kennel. Sunshine knows ‘sit’ and seems to be a good natured dog. She will be spayed before going to a new home. CoCo is a 9-year-old male German Shepherd mix. He is tan colored and very sweet natured. CoCo spent a lot of time outside but he is housebroken and lived with other animals. He is protective of his property but we think he would be ok with children. CoCo is good on the leash and his owners said he likes to play catch. CoCo’s owners are moving. Mescha is a pretty grey cat with white markings. She is a female about 6-months-old who came to the shelter as a stray. Her fur is super soft and her eyes are a light green. She has dainty paws and is scared of shelter life. Mescha will be spayed before going to a new home. Those interested in adopting a pet may call or visit the Humane Society of Deerpark/Port Jervis at 202 US Route 209 North Tuesday through Sunday. The shelter is closed every Monday.
