Workman Matt Maynor of Ferrara Electrical installed new wiring at the Apple Valley Family Restaurant Monday. Restaurant owner Steve Metzger said he plans to complete ongoing renovations for a February 2 reopening. “We’re going to come out of hole with the groundhog,” he said. When completed, Apple Valley will have a new foyer, vestibule, and handicapped restrooms plus new carpeting, and some cosmetic paint. The Metzger family has owned and operated the business for 40 years. Metzger said he decided on the renovations for two reasons: “We were showing some wear. It was time to keep up with Jones’. But I also wanted to celebrate our 40th anniversary.” (Photo by David Hulse)
