Authority eases access to online grants Milford — The Pike County Economic Development Authority, as part of its efforts to attract grant dollars to Pike County, is now offering local organizations the ability to search the GrantStation database right in their Milford office at no cost. GrantStation affords members access to information on private and government grant opportunities as well as resources for building a grant writing program. “The EDA is always seeking new avenues to add value for our community and we know bringing this grant seeking resource to Pike County will do that. We are very excited about offering this new tool for Pike County,” EDA staff member Rachel Hendricks said. The EDA’s membership also includes the GrantStation Insider, a weekly e-newsletter that highlights grant programs currently soliciting applicants, which can be shared with interested organizations. In order to sign up to receive the weekly GrantStation Insider e-newsletter electronically or to make an appointment to search the database, please email Tammy Savarese at admin@pidco.com or call 570-296-7332. The EDA has been forwarding grant information to local organizations through the GrantStation e-newsletter for the previous two years but now has additional access to archives and the ability to search by subject on demand. To date, the EDA has forwarded over 300 grant opportunities to local organizations. “We are very pleased to make this opportunity available and partner with local organizations to attract additional financial resources to Pike County,” stated EDA Chairman David Farrington.
