Guccini for Pike judge kickoff draws hundreds

Carney, Siptroth endorse Guccini PIKE COUNTY - Hundreds of Pike County voters, regional business and community leaders, and elected officials attended the campaign kickoff celebration for Attorney Steve Guccini, who is running for Pike County Judge on the Court of Common Pleas. Congressman Chris Carney of Pa.’s 10th Congressional District and Representative John Siptroth of the 189th Legislative District attended the event at Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Resort on Jan. 26 to extend their endorsements to Guccini. “I’m very supportive of Steve, and will do whatever I can to help his victory,” said Carney. “Pike County is critical to my District. It’s the fastest growing county in the state, and Steve will represent it well as a Judge just as I will do my best to represent it in Washington.” According to Siptroth, “Steve possesses character and integrity, which are the two most important qualities of a judge. That’s why I support him.” Attorney Anthony Waldron, chair of the Steve Guccini for Judge Campaign and a colleague of Guccini’s for more than 25 years, served as master of ceremonies for the kickoff celebration. Other speakers included John Clader, regional law enforcement professional who has worked with Guccini on criminal investigations; and Joe Hudak, retired Pa. State trooper now in private practice. “Steve’s extensive criminal trial experience in both prosecuting criminal cases and in taking those cases through the jury trial process will be invaluable in dealing with Pike County’s growing crime,” said Waldron. “Steve has served both the current President Judge Joseph Kameen and his predecessor, the Honorable Harold A. Thomson Jr., as a domestic relations hearing officer for over 12 years, which requires him to act in a judicial capacity. Obviously, these judges place their confidence in Steve to handle a very difficult area of the law and this on-the-job training has given him the judicial experience to now serve Pike County as a full-time judge.” The Steve Guccini for Judge campaign headquarters can be reached through www.stevegucciniforjudge.com or by calling 570-226-6133.
