WESTFALL — Following an armed break-in at a Heater’s Hill home Tuesday, Eastern Pike Regional Police arrested Shakeel Waller, 28, of Hawley on assault, burglary, and firearm charges. Police were called to Jennifer Stangl’s home at 11:45 p.m. after a neighbor heard a gunshot and called 9-1-1. Police found a man and a woman, who were not identified, saying two black males wearing ski masks entered the home pointing handguns. One of the guns was fired at a window. The two gunmen fled on foot from the home. Chief Chad Stewart said Waller is alledged to be one of the men. The other is still being sought. Waller was arraigned and confined at the Pike County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. The man at the home had minor injuries, not related to the shooting, Stewart said. No motive for the break-in was given, but Stewart said it was not believed to be indiscriminate. Police ask that anyone with information about this incident call 570-491-4040 or e-mail tips@eprpd.org.
